И сегодня наша тема – все времена continuous (все времена simple смотрите предыдущий урок). А также изучим новый материал – словообразование в английском языке. И основой нашего словообразования будет всем известный глагол like.

Текст. DID YOU EVER HEAR THE LIKE? Вы когда-нибудь слышали что-то подобное?
The first day of school… All moms school their children… Do you like it or don’t? And did you ever hear the like? Vanya didn’t like studies, that is school wasn’t likable for him. Well, different people have different likes and dislikes that is all people aren’t like-minded. Did you ever hear the like? Vanya prepared for school carelessly. The teacher chucked him under the shoulder, smiled at him and said: Stop sleeping! Otherwise you are likely to miss out important things! Knowledge is power!

Текст называется: Did you ever hear the like? – Вы когда-нибудь слышали подобное? Итак, нам встретилось много значений слова “like”.
Пожалуй, в интернете есть много любителей собирать «лайки». И всем, кажется, известно, что слово” like” переводится как «нравиться». Но ранее мы уже говорили, что слово” like” имеет значение «как, похожий, подобный». Например, оно встретилось в знакомом нам вопросе – what is the weather like today? Если перед словом” like” из названия текста стоит артикль, то он указывает, что это существительное, произошедшее от глагола. Тогда the like имеет значение «схожесть, подобность».
As for me, I don’t like the like! – Что касается меня, мне такое не нравится!
Well, different people have different likes and dislikes. – Ну, разные люди имеют разные симпатии и антипатии.
Some pupils like school, but others dislike it. That is they are not like-minded. – Одним ученикам нравится школа, но другим не нравится. То есть они не одинаково мыслящие.
Is school likable for you? – А для тебя школа привлекательна?
Vanya is likely to like school in future. – Ване, вероятно, понравится школа в будущем.
Оборот to be likely to + verb I переводится будущим временем при помощи слов «вероятно, наверно, может быть» и используется для предположения событий в будущем.
I feel like continuing learning English. – Хочется продолжить изучать английский.
To feel – чувствовать себя; like – нравится; feel like + gerund = хочется, расположен что-то делать
