The Jewel House at the Tower of London is the home of the most valuable collections of jewels in the world – the Crown Jewels. For long centuries they have been looked after properly. To steal them is an unreal idea of a crazy person. But once they were, however, stolen by a certain man called Colonel Blood.

Blood used a fake appearance, a fake wife, and came up with a whole scenario for stealing jewelry from the Tower. Blood dressed up as a priest and went with his fake wife to the Tower for a tour. During the jewelry touring, the fake wife pretended that she felt unwell. This attracted the attention of the guardian of the Talbolt Edwards Museum.

After this incident, Blood returned to the Tower with his «wife» to thank the guardian for his help. Thus began the fake friendship between the fake Blood family and Edwards. Very soon, Blood invented a new fake family member, a nephew. He said that his nephew is a great guy and would be very suitable as a husband for the daughter of a museum guardian.

Now they had the sincerest and warm relationship. They trusted each other completely. Since that was the case, Blood asked for an informal tour for his nephew. After this pleasant tour, they will arrange a dinner, where the nephew and the daughter of the guardian will meet.

When the guardian brought the fake friends to the place with jewelry, the cunning criminals hit him on the head, took the jewelry and hid it in their clothes.

But they were caught just as they were leaving the Tower. Blood wasn’t put into prison! The king even gave him a life pension instead because Colonel Blood had stolen the Crown Jewels in a cunning, just creative way!
