P.E. classes! Our girls as usual were mobbing at the door and snickering. Today is the day of self-government. And Dima is instead of the coach because he is keen on sports. Dima deems that sports help to be strong and not to get sick and he tries to work out in the gym several times a week. Indeed, he prepared for the lesson carefully. In ten minutes he is bound to say:

— Come on! Stand in the row! Dress right! — commanded he. Our Anya is always dressy, just clothes-with-it! From time to time she titivates before her little mirror and combs. She jumped at the chance to tease Dima.

— May I dress up? May I put on a long skirt and high heels? — jested she.

— But joking apart! I simply said that you all must turn to my side… At first, we will warm up and work out a bit. Then we will play basketball.

— May we warm the bench? — Katya laughed and added her favourite tongue-twister: Sit still, sit a bit till I kill a fly.

— Don’t make sport of me! — answered Dima in a loud voice.

— What? – wondered at him Katya.

— Just don’t guy me!… — explained he. — And please! Don’t sprain your arms! Play and don’t splay your legs! I am responsible for you! Girls! I wish you to nose out!

— What? Come again! — Katya re-asked.

— I wish you to win and not to square the score!

— To square? Why not to “round”? — she said in a waspish voice.

The game was zippy and exciting. The bell is about to ring. And the girls are about to win. The boys are about to droop. The girls are about to whoop: Whoopee! Dima shouted:

— Love game! The girls won by ten goals to love! – …But what did he mean, indeed? Sometimes he talks in riddles….
