Every year in South Korea, a sea mud festival [ˈfestɪv(ə)l] is held in the city of Poryong. It opens in July for a whole week. And for the first time it took place many years ago – in 1998. Not long ago, the number of participants reached 2 million people.

Each event has its own purpose. So this sea mud festival aims to attract a lot of tourists. Sea mud has many healthy effects and is useful for skin health. Those who use it as a means of cosmetology

[kɒzməˈtɒləʤɪ] are very pleased with the positive [ˈpɒzɪtɪv] results [rɪˈzʌlt]. And not only that!

Sea mud is a reason to have fun! You can participate in a lots of contests at the festival! Who doesn’t like to throw things around?

From childhood, we were throwing toys, pillows and snowballs. In America, they like to have fun when they throw food: pasta or cakes. And here you can throw mud! Dirt is useful for the skin! You can get dirty properly, get a wellness treatment and have fun!
